English Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking a dynamic English Teacher to join a “Good” Ofsted-rated secondary school in Derby. This position will involve teaching KS3/KS4 students and will commence after Easter, running for the remainder of the academic year. Both part-time and full-time applicants are welcome to apply.

We are looking for an ideal candidate who is committed to academic excellence and student development. The successful candidate will be hardworking, enthusiastic, and skilled at engaging students with diverse learning needs. Key Requirements:
– PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification leading to QTS or QTLS
– Strong passion and deep subject knowledge in English for KS4
– A collaborative mindset to excel in a team-oriented setting
– Proficiency in planning, marking, and delivering high-quality lessons (planning and marking required only for short/long-term placements)
– Effective classroom and behavior management skills

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
