English teacher looking for work in September? Zest Education are working with schools across Birmingham, with one outstanding school in the Aston area, looking for an English teacher for the academic year starting September 2023. This is a full-time role to teach across KS3-KS4.

The school is a fast paced, high achieving, secondary school looking to maintain their good reputation. They are passionate about making sure that all students get a good education giving them the best start possible to adult life. It is based very well for both public and private transport.

The successful applicant will be driven about achieving good results, enthusiastic about the subject, and willing to try and pass on their love for it down to its students. Successful candidates will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for the subject of English and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 – KS4
  • A team ethic with the will to be part of a team
  • A never give up attitude
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Rate of pay will vary dependant on experience.
