Zest Education are working closely with a secondary school in the Aston area, the school have asked for our help to find an English Teacher, that can teach across KS3-KS4. The position will be full time and will start in September 2024, , this will be for a minimum of two terms.

The school is a large secondary which caters for a broad range of pupils and has a high number of EAL students. The successful candidate will be joining a well-supported departmental team, all of the staff focus on creating a safe, inclusive, and fun environment for their students and encourage them to progress in their personal and academic attainments.

The successful English teacher will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for the subject of English and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  • A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management

Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
