Zest Education are working closely with a secondary school in the Handsworth area who are looking to recruit an English teacher. As Teacher of English, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high quality lessons and achieving excellent results for your students, instilling in them a love for the subject and a desire to learn. We are looking for someone who will inspire and enthuse students, delivering an outstanding and enriched curriculum.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons to the highest standard so pupils feel motivated and inspired by the subject. We want you to provide a nurturing classroom environment that helps the pupils grow as learners. You will contribute to developing your department and ensuring that as a team, you are committed to raising achievement. You are someone who understands the difference a great education can make to pupils lives as you are a great role model for not only them but other teachers too.

You must be educated to degree level or above and have experience in delivering consistently outstanding lessons to pupils of all ages and abilities. You will need to be a great team player and leader with a resilient character and strong personal drive.

 

This is a full-time role for one academic year starting in September 2022.

Rate of pay varies dependant on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
