EYFS Teaching Assistant – Full Time

Location: Kings Heath, Birmingham
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full time, with potential long‑term extension into the new academic year 2026/27
Pay: £14.25+ per hour

Zest Education is currently recruiting a Level 3 qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant for a full‑time role within a busy and supportive early years setting. This role is starting as soon as possible and has the potential to extend into the new academic year for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant who is passionate about early childhood development and confident working within a fast‑paced EYFS environment.


The Role:

  • Supporting children across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Assisting with daily classroom activities, learning through play and small‑group work
  • Supporting children’s social, emotional and academic development
  • Working closely with the class teacher and EYFS team
  • Helping to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant childcare or early years subject
  • Previous experience working in a busy EYFS setting
  • A strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Ability to support children effectively within an early years classroom
  • A proactive, caring and adaptable approach

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Own transport
  • Read Write Inc training
  • Paediatric First Aid (PFA) training
