Full-Time EYFS Teaching Assistant – Rednal, Birmingham | Immediate Start | £90 per day

Zest Education, an award-winning Midlands supply agency, is currently recruiting for a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join a thriving primary school in Rednal, Birmingham.

This full-time EYFS TA position is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who loves working with young children and is committed to supporting their learning, development, and well-being. The role is set to start immediately and will continue until the end of the academic year (July 2026).


About the Role

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will be a vital part of the early years team, working closely with the class teacher to:

  • Support children’s learning through play-based and structured activities

  • Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation

  • Provide individual and group support to pupils, ensuring every child reaches their potential

  • Offer personal care and emotional support to children where necessary

  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that encourages curiosity and confidence

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this EYFS TA role, you should have:

  • An NVQ Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years, Childcare, or a related field

  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young children

  • Experience working in an Early Years or primary school setting

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with staff and pupils

  • Flexibility and reliability to support the class teacher and adapt to daily needs

  • A genuine passion for early childhood education

Personal care is an important part of this role, so compassion and professionalism are key.


Job Details

  • Position: EYFS Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)

  • Location: Rednal, Birmingham

  • Start Date: Immediate

  • Contract: Until July 2025 (Full Academic Year)

  • Pay Rate: £90 per day (competitive, depending on experience)

  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday, Term Time only. 8.20am – 3.35pm
