Zest Education are currently recruiting an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to work full-time at a welcoming school based in Bromsgrove. You will be expected to work Monday to Friday starting as soon as possible. This role is on-going till July. The ideal candidate should be committed to their role and have a genuine passion for having a positive impact on children’s learning.

The ideal applicant will be able to support the teacher effectively in the classroom and assist the pupils with activities and lessons.

As an EYFS TA you will be required to:

  • To work under the direction of the teacher, assist with the planning of lessons, prepare equipment and resources, and participate in training.
  • Watch over and assist students, including those with special needs.
  • Build positive rapport with students and engage with them in a way that best suits their needs.
  • Motivate the students to participate in group activities and teacher-led projects.
  • Encourage independence and self-worth while setting high standards.
  • Give the teacher thorough feedback on a regular basis.
  • Establish and keep a focused, organised, and encouraging atmosphere in compliance with lesson plans.
  • Encourage students to behave well.

You must:

  • Have relevant experience within an educational setting or working with EYFS children.
  • Own an enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one.
  • A comprehension of good teaching techniques for all Early Years subjects.
  • Have well-developed interpersonal skills – the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Be able to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
  • A genuine desire in helping children with educational aspirations.
