EYFS Teaching Assistant – Tamworth
Start Date: ASAP – Duration: Spring Term, with potential for extension

Zest Education is excited to recruit an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant for a warm and welcoming primary school in Tamworth. About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality early years provision. You will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging learning activities alongside the teacher

  • Support children with early reading, writing and numeracy

  • Help create a stimulating, safe and supportive learning environment

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support as needed

  • Encourage children’s social, emotional and academic development

  • Contribute to observations and assessments in line with EYFS requirements

The Ideal Candidate

Ideally candidates will have a Level 3 qualification in childcare or early years (or equivalent), and you should already have experience working with young children in a school or nursery. Additionally, you will bring:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A patient, caring and positive approach

  • Effective behaviour-management strategies

  • The ability to collaborate well with colleagues

  • Creativity and enthusiasm for early learning

  • A solid understanding of safeguarding and child development

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
