EYFS Teaching Assistant – Tamworth
Start Date: ASAP – Duration: Spring Term, with potential for extension
Zest Education is excited to recruit an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant for a warm and welcoming primary school in Tamworth. This school blends a nurturing ethos with a vibrant community spirit, and it actively promotes creativity, curiosity and play-based learning. As a result, children receive a confident, engaging start to their education.
In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality early years provision. You will:
Plan and deliver engaging learning activities alongside the teacher
Support children with early reading, writing and numeracy
Help create a stimulating, safe and supportive learning environment
Provide 1:1 and small-group support as needed
Encourage children’s social, emotional and academic development
Contribute to observations and assessments in line with EYFS requirements
Ideally candidates will have a Level 3 qualification in childcare or early years (or equivalent), and you should already have experience working with young children in a school or nursery. Additionally, you will bring:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A patient, caring and positive approach
Effective behaviour-management strategies
The ability to collaborate well with colleagues
Creativity and enthusiasm for early learning
A solid understanding of safeguarding and child development

Zest Education are an APSCo audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
