Job Description

Part-Time EYFS Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (Bournville, Birmingham)

Agency: Zest Education (Award-Winning Midlands Agency)
Hours: 3 days per week, 08:20–15:40
Location: Bournville, Birmingham

Zest Education is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to provide 1-1 support for a child in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) at a welcoming primary school in the popular Bournville area of Birmingham. This position is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood education, SEND support, and helping young learners thrive.

About the Role

In this EYFS Teaching Assistant role, you will work closely with a child who requires individualised support for undiagnosed additional needs. Your role will include assisting with learning activities, emotional regulation, and personal care to help the child access the curriculum and feel safe and supported throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing 1-1 support within the EYFS classroom
  • Assisting the child with daily learning tasks and routines
  • Supporting personal care needs where required
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and the wider staff team
  • Communicating effectively with parents and carers
  • Helping promote the child’s social, emotional, and academic progress
