Finance officer

Job Description

A busy primary school in south Birmingham, near Hall Green is recruiting for a part time receptionist to join their team.

The role will be starting as soon as possible and will be a temporary on-going contract (afternoons only) for a minimum of 12 months.

The successful applicant must:

  • Have the highest regard for safeguarding and health and safety procedures
  • Understand the importance of protecting children and always following school policy
  • Work well under pressure
  • Be able to liaise with all members of staff, including senior leaders
  • Work closely alongside the school Business Manager
  • Be a personable and approachable individual

What the role will involve:

  • Processing invoices
  • Raising orders
  • Managing cash flow and banking
  • Updating SIMS (previous experience would be ideal)
  • Managing and collating school dinner money
  • Collating reports
  • Liaising with Senior Leaders to report any concerns
  • Reporting safeguarding concerns

This mainstream school is ideally situated with excellent public transport links and has a friendly and hard-working team.

Previous experience working within a school environment is not essential but would be advantageous.
