Zest Education are closely working with a secondary school in Bromsgrove who are looking for a Food teacher to join their team.

The food department provides a practical and creative subject which focuses on nurturing and instilling a love of cooking and human creativity. It offers a plethora of opportunity for students to engage in experiences and provides secure foundations and transferable skills for future life beyond the classroom. At its heart, being able to cook is a crucial life skill for students to be able to feed themselves and others affordably and healthily now and in later life.


The successful candidate must have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A great team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • A strong passion for the subject of Food and able to teach the curriculum across KS3-KS4
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management


This is a full-time temporary role starting from September 2022 for one academic term.

Rate of pay varies dependant on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
