Zest Education are working closely with a large secondary school, located in North Birmingham, close to Perry Barr, the school are looking for a French speaking teacher. The position will be full time and will start in September 2022, this will be for a minimum of one term. The role will involve teaching all areas of the French curriculum, and the ideal candidate must be confident in teaching across KS3-KS4.

The school is a busy secondary, which has a broad range of pupils, including a high number of EAL students. The school supports all their students to break down any barriers that may arise and help them overcome these so they can go on to excel in society. The school is located in a popular area, so is easily accessible by private or public transport.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for the subject of French and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  • A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management.

Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
