Zest Education, an award-winning education agency, is currently seeking a passionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team and work closely with a lovely school in Handsworth. This role involves supporting a child with additional needs on a full-time basis until the end of the academic year.

Roles and Responsibilities:
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to support a child with additional needs in their academic and personal development. This will involve providing tailored support, assisting with classroom activities, and implementing strategies to promote the child’s learning and well-being. Collaborating effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals will be crucial in ensuring the child’s progress and overall success.
Requirements for Successful Candidates:
– Relevant experience working with children, particularly those with additional needs
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning
– Flexibility and adaptability in meeting the diverse needs of the child
– Relevant qualifications or training in education or special needs support are desirable

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
