Full-Time HLTA – September 2026 Start

Location: Bournville, Birmingham
Full Academic Year

Zest Education is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded primary school in the Bournville area for a Full-Time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to begin in September 2026, for the duration of the full academic year.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HLTA to take on a varied and rewarding role, working across the whole school and playing a key part in supporting teaching, learning and leadership.


About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and senior leaders to provide high-quality support across all year groups. Responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering targeted interventions to support pupil progress
  • Covering PPA and leadership time
  • Supporting teaching and learning both in and out of the classroom
  • Contributing positively to the wider life of the school

This role would suit a confident, adaptable HLTA who enjoys working across different age groups and thrives in a collaborative environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience in a similar HLTA role and/or hold a recognised HLTA qualification
  • Be confident delivering learning across the primary age range
  • Have experience leading interventions and supporting pupil progress
  • Be adaptable, proactive and able to work independently
  • Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills
