Are you an experienced and passionate KS2 Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity in Handsworth? We are recruiting for a full-time Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join an Outstanding primary school in Handsworth with an immediate start available.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic about supporting children’s learning, building confidence, and helping pupils achieve their full potential in a welcoming and supportive school environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with KS2 class teachers, support whole-class learning, deliver small group interventions, and provide 1:1 support where needed.

Key Responsibilities

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 2
  • Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities
  • Delivering targeted intervention sessions in literacy and numeracy
  • Providing 1:1 support for pupils where required
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and pupil engagement
  • Helping children develop academically, socially, and emotionally
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements for the KS2 Teaching Assistant Position

To be considered for this Teaching Assistant role in Handsworth, you should have:

  • Previous experience working within a KS2 or primary school setting (preferred)
  • A positive, reliable, and proactive attitude
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
