Zest Education are delighted to be working alongside a special educational needs school in Lichfield who are looking for a passionate teaching assistant to be part of their outstanding school. This position is due to begin ASAP for the right candidate, until the end of the academic year with the possibility of further employment.

This school provides education for students from the age of 7-16 who hold an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP). The successful candidate must have experience of supporting individuals with SEND or experience within a care environment.

The role will require you to quickly build engaging relationships with small groups of children, and you will need to work closely as a team with the class teacher and other teaching assistants.

The role:

  • You must be passionate about working with students with special needs and have previous experience of working in a special school or similar environment
  • To provide general support to the class teacher in the management and organisation of the students and the classroom
  • To promote the inclusion of all pupils
  • To promote positive behaviour and attitudes through high expectations
