Full-Time Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Zest Education is recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Atherstone. Starting in January 2026, this role will involve supporting in a KS2 class, working closely with the class teacher and providing additional support for SEND pupils. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education and looking for a secure maternity cover placement.

📚 About the Role

  • Support the KS2 class teacher with daily teaching and learning activities
  • Provide targeted support for SEND pupils within the classroom
  • Assist with lesson preparation, small group work, and 1:1 interventions
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Contribute to the wider school community and uphold its values

✅ What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a primary school setting
  • Knowledge of supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for supporting learning
  • A proactive approach and ability to work collaboratively with staff
