Zest Education is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Bournville area. We’re recruiting for a full time Teaching Assistant to work within a small, supportive resource base supporting children with additional needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant who is passionate about inclusive education and eager to develop their career within SEND and Education. The role is ideal for someone who is creative, nurturing, engaging and committed to making a genuine difference in young children’s lives.


 📚 The Role:

  • Full‑time teaching assistant position supporting children with additional needs within a specialist resource base
  • Working closely with a dedicated team to deliver tailored support in line with individual education plans and EHCP’s
  • Supporting learning through play‑based and child‑centred approaches
  • Assisting children with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation
  • Helping to create a safe, calm and stimulating learning environment
  • Supporting pupils both in the resource base and within mainstream classes where appropriate

✏️ Essential Requirements:

  • Relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare
  • Proven experience working within a similar school setting
  • A strong understanding of the curriculum
  • A patient, adaptable and caring approach to supporting children with additional needs
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s wellbeing

💻 Desirable Skills and Training:

  • Experience supporting children with SEND or additional needs
  • Paediatric First Aid (PFA) training
  • Own transport
