Zest Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate qualified Teaching Assistant to work full time in a welcoming primary school in Wolverhampton. This is an excellent opportunity for a TA who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs, particularly ADHD and Autism (ASC).

About the Role

Position: Full Time Teaching Assistant Year Group: Year 2 (KS1) Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands Start Date: As soon as possible Contract Length: Until the end of the academic year Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday

You will be working within the classroom, providing targeted 1:1 support for a child with ADHD and Autism, while also contributing to the wider learning environment. The role requires consistency, patience, and a nurturing approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and in-class support for a child with ADHD and Autism
  • Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Help implement individual education strategies and behaviour plans
  • Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Requirements

  • A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 essential)
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or SEND TA
  • Experience supporting children with ADHD and/or Autism (desirable)
  • Ability to commit to a full-time role until the end of the academic year
  • Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position include a relevant TA qualification and recent school-based or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
