Full-Time Year 1 Teacher (ECT or Experienced)

Zest Education is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a warm and welcoming primary school located in the Walsall area. The school is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis for the full academic year.

This role is open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners who are passionate about delivering high-quality teaching in a supportive and well‑led environment.

• Who: A thriving and inclusive primary school in Northfield, supported by a strong leadership team and dedicated staff community
• What: Full-time Year 1 Teacher position – open to ECTs and experienced teachers
• When: Starting at the beginning of the next academic year (September 2026) and continuing for the full year
• Where: Bloxwich & Surrounding areas

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who wants to make a real impact in Key Stage 1 while working in a positive, pupil‑centred school environment.

The Role

As the Year 1 Class Teacher, you will:

• Deliver creative, engaging and well‑structured lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
• Support children’s transition into more formal learning following their EYFS year
• Establish clear routines and implement effective behaviour management strategies
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and leaders to ensure the best outcomes for every pupil
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers to promote a positive home–school partnership

The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for a teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Is confident, engaging and enthusiastic about teaching Year 1
• Demonstrates strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent classroom presence
• Is committed to delivering high-quality lessons that support progress and inspire a love of learning
• Is reflective, proactive and a positive contributor to a team
• Can build strong rapport with young learners and create a nurturing classroom environment
