Zest Education are looking for enthusiastic and engaging recent graduates to work as Cover Supervisors in the Walsall area including Brownhills, Aldridge, Pelsall, Willenhall, Bescot and the Walsall town centre. We have a range of flexible working opportunities on a daily or longer term basis starting ASAP.

A number of graduates working for Zest Education have gone on to gain their formal teaching qualifications. Cover Supervision is a great stepping stone into working as a teacher.

The Role of a Cover Supervisor

A successful Cover Supervisor will be required to work in this secondary school delivering high quality pre-planned lessons to groups of 11-18 year old pupils.

Work will be pre-planned by the classroom teacher within school and you will be expected to deliver to students, manage behaviour and provide feedback to relevant people within school.

What qualifications do I need?

We are looking for recent University graduates who have an interest working with children and are considering going on to study a postgraduate certificate of Education (PGCE).

Pay and remuneration:

A Cover Supervisor can expect to be paid between £65 – £75 per day. Usual working hours will be between 8:30am – 3:30pm.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).

The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
