Zest Education is actively seeking enthusiastic graduates to take on roles as cover supervisors in schools across Staffordshire, spanning areas like Lichfield, Tamworth, Stafford, Stoke on Trent, Stone, and Cannock.

Many of our previous graduates have transitioned to teacher training following their roles as cover supervisors, finding it a beneficial experience to explore and determine their career path.

About the Position: Cover Supervisor
A successful Cover Supervisor will collaborate with secondary schools to deliver predetermined lessons to student groups aged 11-18.

Tasks will be outlined by the class teacher or other school staff, and your responsibility as a cover supervisor will be to deliver these lessons, manage student behavior, and provide feedback to relevant staff members.

To excel in our graduate roles, we seek individuals with a minimum of 20 days of experience working with children or young people, serving as a solid foundation for a teaching career.

This experience can be gained through various avenues such as leading scout groups, coaching sports, volunteering, placements, work experience, or teaching dance.

Compensation is commensurate with experience, training, or qualifications. Essential requirements include Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent experience in a school teaching the British Curriculum.
