Head of History Teacher, Birmingham

Job Description

Zest Education are looking for an experience Head of History teacher to work in an all girls secondary school, that we closely work with, in the Bromford area. As a Head of History Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons to students, fostering their knowledge and understanding of history. You will be expected to follow the national curriculum and syllabus, adapting your teaching methods to suit the needs and abilities of the students.

This role is to start in April 2024 until July 2024, rate of pay will vary depending on experience, ranging from £211 – £238 per day.

 

Responsibilities:
– Leading the History department
– Curriculum planning and development
– Delivering engaging history lessons
– Marking student work and providing feedback
– Managing and supporting history teachers
– Liaising with senior leadership team
– Maintaining records and reporting student progress

Requirements:
– Qualified teacher status
– Experience teaching History at secondary level
– Strong leadership and organizational skills
– Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
– Ability to plan and deliver effective lessons
– Knowledge of curriculum requirements
– Commitment to student achievement and learning

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
