Job Description

Health & Safety Officer

Location: Lichfield, Staffordshire

Start: ASAP

Hours: 8:30 -16:30 (Mon-Fri)

Pay: £14.25 /Per Hour

Zest Education are looking to recruit an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Officer to support and enhance safety and welfare across and established educational setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake Risk Management procedures which ensure suitable and sufficient risk assessments, including general, task based and activity specific.
  • Carry out planned health and safety inspections across education and support facilities.
  • Assist with incident, accident and near miss investigations ensuring to follow the organisations internal procedures.
  • Contribute to the development, preparation and delivery of health and safety training awareness programmes.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date health and safety records and documentation.
  • Act as point of contact for health and safety advice across the oganisation.

 

You Will Need:

  • Proven experience working as a Health & Safety practitioner
  • Experience completing and reviewing risk assessments.
  • Experience of supporting and undertaking incident / accident investigations.
  • Level 3 Safety Management Qualification (Desirable).
  • An Enhanced DBS (Or willingness to complete one.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
