Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Job in Dudley

Zest Education is currently recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work within welcoming and supportive primary schools across Dudley. The Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Dudley, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will be expected to work closely with teachers, deliver pre-planned lessons, support small intervention groups, and provide classroom cover when required.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Delivering lessons in the absence of the class teacher
  • Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1, or KS2
  • Leading small group interventions to raise attainment
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support
  • Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff and senior leaders
  • Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback

Requirements

To be considered for this HLTA position in Dudley, you should have:

  • A recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience working within a primary school setting
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • The confidence to lead whole-class learning when required
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s education
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
