Zest Education is looking for a confident and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a school in Moseley on a full-time basis.

This role will give you the opportunity to build a long-lasting relationship with a fantastic school whilst making a positive impact.

What Does the Role Involve?

As an HLTA, you will play a key role in the daily life of the school. In particular, you will support teachers, deliver learning activities and help keep pupils engaged throughout the school day.

Additionally, depending on the school’s requirements, you may also take responsibility for a class during teacher absence. Therefore, confidence, organisation and the ability to adapt quickly will be essential.

Your day-to-day duties may include:

• Taking the lead in lessons and ensuring pupils remain focused.
• Delivering activities planned by the class teacher.
• Providing extra guidance to pupils who need additional support.
• Maintaining positive behaviour and clear classroom expectations.
• Preparing classroom resources and learning materials.

Requirements for a HLTA:

To be successful, you should have:

• Experience working in a school as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
• The ability to lead lessons and manage a classroom effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• An Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one.
• A recognised HLTA qualification.

Most importantly, you should be adaptable, reliable and ready to contribute positively to the school community.
