History Teacher

Zest Education is recruiting an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools in Burton‑on‑Trent. This full‑time role involves teaching History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to stretch into Key Stage 5 depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about bringing the past to life, inspiring students’ curiosity, and helping them develop strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and well‑structured History lessons
  • Plan creative learning activities aligned with the national curriculum
  • Assess and monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom environment
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and support wider school initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and Zest Education
