Zest Education are currently recruiting for a History teacher that can teach across KS3 and KS4, in a school in South Birmingham, close to Kings Norton. The position will start in April 2024, this will be part time (0.6) for the rest of the academic year.
The school is a large secondary which caters for a broad range of pupils and has a growing reputation within the surrounding areas, the school is also situated in a popular area, so is easily accessible by private or public transport. The team here work hard to maintain a supportive and inclusive ethos across all areas of the school and put the children at the heart of what they do.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
- A strong passion for the subject of History and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 would be ideal but isn’t a necessity)
- A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
- The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
- Strong classroom and behaviour management
Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.
Rate of pay will vary depending on experience.
