Job Description

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Full – time

Zest Education is looking for a confident and adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support a welcoming primary school in Brierley Hill area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and is confident stepping into different classrooms across the school to deliver high‑quality learning.

About the Role

  • Providing PPA cover across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
  • Delivering pre‑planned lessons and supporting learning in the teacher’s absence
  • Creating a calm, positive atmosphere in every class you lead
  • Supporting pupils’ learning through small‑group work and interventions when required
  • Building strong relationships with staff and pupils
  • Working part‑time or on a flexible schedule to suit your availability

What We’re Looking For

  • HLTA qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience across primary year groups
  • Confidence delivering whole‑class teaching
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • A friendly, adaptable approach and a passion for supporting children
