HR Assistant

Key Details:

Location: Leek, Staffordshire

Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm, Mon – Fri

Zest Education are currently recruiting for a proactive and organised HR Assistant to join a growing Secondary School in Leek, Staffordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting people and thrives on organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing staff records and maintaining accurate, confidential files.
  • Handling HR queries from staff with professionalism and care.
  • Monitoring staff absence and updating HR systems.
  • Supporting compliance and safeguarding procedures.
  • Providing general admin support to the wider office team.

About you

You will be a great fit if you are:

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Warm, approachable, and professional.
  • Able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • A strong communicator who enjoys helping others.
  • Have an Enhanced DBS (Or are willing to complete one).
  • Have previous experience in a similar role.

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
