Zest Education have been asked to find a humanities teacher, that can teach across KS3 – KS4, in a large secondary school in North Birmingham, close to Sutton Coldfield. The school are looking for a humanities teacher to start with them in September 2022, full time, for a minimum of one term.

Ideally the school would like the successful applicants to have some experience across the three main disciplines of Humanities: Geography, History and RE.

The school is located in a popular area, so is easily accessible by private or public transport. The school focuses on creating a safe and fun environment for their students, so that they can excel both socially and academically. The successful candidate will have access to good indoor and outdoor facilities, to allow for creative lessons.

The successful applicant will have:

  1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  2. A strong passion for Humanities and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  5. Strong classroom and behaviour management

Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.
