Zest Education is currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to join a lovely primary school in Rednal. This is a temporary ongoing position with flexible working hours, offering a fantastic opportunity to work in a school environment.
**Job Title:** School Kitchen Assistant
**Location:** Rednal
**Start Date:** ASAP
**Requirements:** Kitchen assistant experience, Food Hygiene Certificate
**Duties of a School Kitchen Assistant may include:**
– Supporting the school chef in food preparation and cooking
– Serving meals to students and staff
– Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and work areas
– Adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations
– Assisting with stock management and inventory control
– Performing other duties as assigned by the school chef or kitchen manager
If you have previous kitchen assistant experience and possess a valid Food Hygiene Certificate, this role presents an excellent opportunity to work in a school environment and contribute to the well-being of students.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you, the cost of the DBS is £61.30) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position is recent and relevant experience, ideally school-based within the last 5 years.
