Roles and responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum for KS1 pupils
  • Create a positive, stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity and confidence
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress to ensure every child reaches their potential
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents to support learning and development
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND or EAL
  • Foster positive behaviour, mutual respect, and a love of learning across the classroom
  • Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
  • A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A nurturing, enthusiastic, and reflective approach to teaching
  • A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one
