KS1 Teaching Assistant – Primary School 

Full-Time | 8:30am – 3:30pm | Start Date: ASAP

Are you passionate about supporting young learners and helping them thrive in the classroom? A welcoming and well‑established primary school in Yardley, Birmingham is seeking a committed KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full‑time role is ideal for someone who loves working with children and is eager to make a positive impact in a nurturing school environment.

About the Role

As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key part in supporting teaching and learning across the classroom. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day‑to‑day support within a KS1 classroom
  • Assisting the class teacher with lessons, activities, and classroom organisation
  • Working with small groups or individual pupils to deliver targeted learning support
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Supporting children’s academic progress, confidence, and emotional well‑being

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a classroom or school setting (desirable but not essential)
  • A proactive, flexible, and supportive approach to working with children
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping young learners succeed
