Zest Education is proud to be working in partnership with a brilliant primary school in the heart of Lichfield, who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This role will run for the duration of the first half term, with the potential for extension.

About the Role:

As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the class teacher with daily classroom activities

  • Delivering small group and one-to-one interventions

  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s expectations

  • Assisting in the preparation of learning materials and resources

  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Supporting children with additional needs where necessary

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) is preferred

  • Experience working within a primary school setting

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A proactive and flexible approach to working

  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils

  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
