We are looking for a caring and friendly KS1 Teaching Assistant. You will join an outstanding-rated primary school in Walmley, Birmingham.

The school has two classes in each year group. You will work with the class teacher and support children in Key Stage 1.

The role is available for an immediate start.

📚What Will You Do?

As a Teaching Assistant, you will help children learn and grow. You will also support the teacher with daily classroom tasks.

Your duties will include:

• Helping children with their schoolwork.
• Supporting the teacher during lessons.
• Working with small groups of pupils.
• Preparing classroom resources.
• Helping children follow classroom rules.
• Encouraging children to do their best.
• Keeping the classroom safe and tidy.

You will help make learning fun and enjoyable for every child.

📚What Skills Do You Need?

We are looking for someone who:

• Enjoys working with children.
• Is kind, patient and caring.
• Has good communication skills.
• Works well with others.
• Has a positive attitude.
• Can start work as soon as possible.

Experience with children is important. This could be in a school, nursery or childcare setting.

A Teaching Assistant or childcare qualification is welcome. However, you do not need a formal qualification to apply.

📚Working Hours

The role is full-time, from Monday to Friday.

You will work from 8:30am until 3:30pm each day.

Part-time hours may be possible. However, full-time applicants are preferred.
