KS1 Teaching assistant, Walsall
Zest Education is proud to be working alongside a two-form entry primary school in the north of Walsall. The school needs a full-time teaching assistant who can work across KS1. The role is to start in April 2022 and will run for the entire academic year.
The school has a good reputation in the local area and is a popular choice for parents in the local area. The school as a moderately number of pupils with EAL and has a great support network for them. The school is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and has shown steady improvements over the last few years due to the stability of the senior leadership and the pushing of new ideas.
The successful candidate will need to be dedicated and have good communication skills to make sure all pupils are understanding the work set and progressing at the same rate. As already mentioned, the school has a number of EAL children and also has varying academic abilities so it is important for the successful candidate to be confident and able to think outside the box when it comes to planning and delivery of material.
Both newly qualified teaching assistants and experienced teaching assistants will be considered for this role. Those with experience, especially in KS1 will be in an advantageous position. The successful candidate will be given support to make sure they transition into their new role.
