KS2 Catch up teacher

Job Description

We are recruiting for an KS2 teacher to join a busy 3 form entry school in the Marston Green area of Birmingham. This part time role requires someone who can work as a ‘catch up’ teacher to assist children across KS2 who have fallen behind due to the pandemic.

This popular primary school is a 2-form entry and has a fantastic reputation for equipping all pupils with strong life skills and ensuring all students progress into confident and inquisitive individuals.

The successful candidate must:

  • Hold valid QTS
  • Be proficient in literacy, numeracy, and ICT
  • Be passionate to engage and lead the pupils
  • Have the confidence to work on your own initiative
  • Be consistent in maintaining high standards and encouraging positive behaviour for learning
  • Demonstrate high expectations of yourself and your class
  • Be an approachable, independent and respectable practitioner

The school supports training and development for all its staff and is continually looking for strong team players to join their team.  Both newly qualified teachers/early careers teachers (NQT/ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this position.

The position is part time (0.4) and the days worked can be flexible for the right candidate.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).

The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
