Learning support assistant

Job Description

Are you passionate about education and working with children? Do you have recent school-based experience?

Zest is working with a school in Yardley to recruit for a learning support assistant to work in KS2. The warm and welcoming school would love the successful candidate to start in September 2022 through to April 2023.

The school is a busy four form entry primary school who create a secure learning environment for all pupils to learn and develop in. The school caters for a broad range of pupils, including a high number of EAL students, and has a supportive and inclusive ethos across all year groups. The school is also easy to access via Public transport.

The ideal candidate must:

  • Be a dedicated individual.
  • Be a committed team player with excellent organisational and technical skills
  • Effectively support learning and teaching.
  • Build professional relationships with all pupils and staff members.
  • Be a patient and understanding individual.

The pay for this role will be dependent on references: £65- £80 per day.

All applicants must be NVQ level 2 qualified (or above) in a relevant subject or have a minimum of 3 months experience within the last 5 years.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).

The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
