KS2 Teacher

Job Description

This welcoming primary school in Coventry now seeks a confident Year 5 Teacher for a full‑time role. To begin with, you bring solid KS2 experience and full QTS, ensuring clear, structured and engaging teaching throughout the day. As lessons progress, you guide pupils through purposeful activities, maintain strong expectations and build positive relationships that strengthen motivation and independence. Additionally, you adapt tasks when needed, support varied learning needs and promote steady progress across the Year 5 curriculum. Ideally, you drive and can travel easily to the school, ensuring smooth access and reliable attendance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Year 5 teaching delivered with clarity, pace and strong subject knowledge
  • Upper KS2 literacy and numeracy that builds confidence and secures key skills
  • Consistent routines that support regulation and reduce anxiety
  • Adapted learning tasks for pupils needing additional guidance
  • Positive behaviour approaches using calm, structured communication
  • Close teamwork with teaching assistants, the SENCO and the KS2 team
  • Progress tracking to meet individual needs

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified KS2 Teacher with full QTS
  • Strong classroom experience, ideally within Year 5
  • Clear communication and a warm, structured teaching style
  • Confidence supporting varied learning needs, including SEND
  • Full‑time availability
  • Ideally a driver for easy access to Coventry schools
  • Interest in Coventry‑based KS2 roles
