From January 2026, a welcoming primary school in the heart of Royal Leamington Spa is looking for a dedicated KS2 Teacher to join their team. This long-term position offers you the chance to bring learning to life, nurture curious learners, and be part of a school community that truly values creativity, growth, and excellence.

Long-term role starting January 2026 | 5 days per week | Royal-Leamington-Spa

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, inclusive, and high-quality lessons across the KS2 curriculum.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with school and national standards.
  • Create a stimulating learning environment where pupils feel motivated and supported.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure every child reaches their full potential.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and contribute to ongoing assessment and reporting.
  • Participate in wider school life, including extracurricular activities, assemblies, and enrichment opportunities.
  • Uphold the school’s values and promote a positive, respectful classroom culture.

 

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment framework.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for education, with the ability to inspire and engage pupils.
  • A proactive, reflective, and adaptable approach to teaching.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one through Zest Education).

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
