📚 The Role

We are now recruiting a committed KS2 Teaching Assistant to join the school from February 2026 for the remainder of the Spring Term, with the possibility of extension.

In this role, you will:

  • Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and activities.
  • Provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups to help them make steady progress.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and contribute to a calm, well‑organised classroom.
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Take part in wider school life, including enrichment activities and events.

By stepping into this position, you will play an active role in shaping pupils’ learning experiences and helping them build strong foundations for future success.

👩‍🏫 The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about supporting children in Key Stage 2. Ideally, you will:

  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred).
  • Have experience working with children, particularly within a primary school setting.
  • Communicate clearly and build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Stay organised and manage tasks efficiently throughout the school day.
  • Adapt creatively to meet a range of learning needs.
  • Approach challenges with patience, resilience, and a proactive attitude.

With these skills, you will thrive in a busy KS2 classroom and make a meaningful impact on pupils’ development.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
