KS2 Teaching Assistant – Castle Vale, Birmingham

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Part Time
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Castle Vale, Birmingham

Are you a committed and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity in a supportive primary school? We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team in Castle Vale, Birmingham, working closely with Key Stage 2 pupils to support learning, development, and progress.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting children in a school setting and a passion for helping pupils achieve their full potential.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and learning across the KS2 curriculum.

  • Work with pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis where needed.

  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.

  • Promote positive behaviour and a safe, inclusive learning environment.

  • Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and academic growth.


Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children, ideally within Key Stage 2.

  • A positive, proactive, and supportive attitude.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

  • Passionate about helping pupils thrive academically and emotionally.

  • Reliable, flexible, and committed to the role.
