KS2 Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Here at Zest we are currently looking for a full-time teaching assistant to join a school in West Bromwich. This will be to start as soon as possible until the end of the school year. This school is looking for someone to join their hard working team with great communication skills and a strong passion for helping children grow and develop.

As a KS2 teaching assistant you will be required to support the class teacher in any way required to deliver engaging and creative lessons that are in line with the British Curriculum. It will be your responsibility to support any children that do need extra support during class activities and track any progress that is made by individuals.  You will need to help maintain high classroom standards and encourage children to take responsibility for their actions.

The successful candidate for this role will have to have a DBS that is on the update service, or be willing to obtain one. You must have experience in a relevant setting and worked with children of a primary school age. This school has asked for someone with strong communication skills to fit into their hard working team and make a positive impact on the school and the classes worked in.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
