We’re seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to work in a welcoming SEND school environment. This is a flexible, term-time position ideal for anyone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll play an essential role in helping pupils with additional needs reach their full potential. You’ll provide classroom support to teachers and offer one-to-one or small-group assistance to students with a range of learning and behavioural needs.
Duties include:
Supporting students with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, and PMLD
Assisting the teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviour
Providing emotional and practical support throughout the school day
Helping with personal care where required (training provided)
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Experience working with children or young people in schools, care, or youth settings
A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
Ideal for: Teaching Assistants, Learning Mentors, Support Workers, and Graduates looking to gain experience in SEND education.
