Are you a learning support assistant looking for a role local to you? Looking to gain some more experience? If so, read on!

We are working with a brilliant primary school in the Erdington who are looking for a learning support assistant to work on a full-time basis from March 2024 until the end of the summer term. The school may also offer a permanent role for the right candidate in the new academic year.

The three-form entry school is located a diverse community where all learners are respected equally. The school aim to provide a safe and caring environment where all staff and parents work in close partnership to provide the highest standards of education for all children. The school provide an excellent education for pupils aged from 4 to 11 with all pupils being placed at the very heart of everything the school do. The school also work in close partnership with many other schools in the local area.

The successful candidate must:

  • Comfortably work with small groups of people who require additional support.
  • Build strong relationships with all staff and pupils.
  • Be compassionate and sensitive towards children.
  • Have a basic knowledge of the curriculum.
  • Motivate and encourage pupils
  • Work efficiently as part of a team
  • Be adaptable and flexible where needed.

The pay for this role will start from £75 a day dependent on references and experience.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
