Zest Education are recruiting exclusively for a special educational needs (SEND) school in Nuneaton for a full time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team. This position is due to begin ASAP and will continue on a long-term basis, there are also opportunities to start October 2024. There is potential of becoming a permanent position is the right candidate is found.

The school provides exceptional education to children and young people aged 9 to 19 with Autism (ASC) or an identified social, emotional, or mental health need. The goal is to deliver an ‘outstanding’ education by implementing personalized programs and unleashing the potential of our students.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our learners’ unique needs. Your experience in supporting individuals with special educational needs or within a care setting will be invaluable in ensuring our students receive the best possible support and guidance.

The role:

  • Must be able to work Monday-Friday, 8:30-15:30.
  • Must have previous experience supporting individuals with SEND or within a care setting
  • You must be engaging, reliable and able to quickly build professional relationships
  • You will be supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • You will be supporting the class teacher within the classroom – preparing learning resources, setting up the classroom and keeping it to a high standard

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
