Learning Support Assistant

We are currently seeking passionate SEN Learning Support Assistants for a special educational needs school located in Stafford. There are both full and part time positions available.

Both roles are for an immediate start and will continue on a long-term basis.

This school caters for students from the age of 5- 19 with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). Although this position is to work in a school environment, we are open to receiving applications from TA’s, support workers and individuals that have worked with adults with SEND.

Many of the students have had an unsuccessful previous journey through local authority, special schools and PRUs. So, it is important that you are able to quickly build positive relationships with the children.

The successful candidate must be a proactive and engaging individual who has proven experience of having strong behaviour management skills and working across a range of age groups.

• Confidence, enthusiasm and a passion for learning
• Ability to build good working relationships with children, teachers, parents and carers
• Ability to promote positive behaviour in a nurturing environment is essential

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
