Located in the stunning rural area of Staffordshire, the school provides a picturesque environment for students aged 3 to 18 with associated learning difficulties within the moderate to severe range. As an LSA, you will play a crucial role in supporting these students to develop their social, educational, and practical skills through our curriculum that emphasizes physical exercise and a multisensory approach.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates who possess the following skills and qualities:

  1. Resilience: Dealing with challenging behaviour requires a resilient character who can remain positive and patient in difficult situations.

  3. Excellent Communication: Effective communication skills are crucial for building relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
  4. Commitment to Professional Development: We value continuous growth and encourage LSAs to take part in professional development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  5. Experience with SEN Children: While no specific qualifications are required, previous experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  6. Empathy and Patience: Understanding the unique challenges our students face and having the patience to provide ongoing support is fundamental to this role.
  7. Teamwork: Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other LSAs is essential for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  8. Organization: Keeping track of students’ progress, maintaining records, and assisting with lesson planning requires good organizational skills.
  9. Creativity: As an LSA, you will have the opportunity to devise innovative teaching materials and techniques to engage students in their learning journey.

10. Genuine Passion: A genuine passion for helping students with special needs reach their full potential is at the heart of this role
