Level 3 Nursery & Early KS1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Moseley Start Date: Septemeber 2026

We are supporting a welcoming, child‑centred primary school seeking a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant to work across Nursery and Early KS1. This role is perfect for someone who is nurturing, proactive and passionate about early childhood development.

The Role

You will play a key part in supporting children at the earliest stages of their learning journey. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting learning and play‑based activities in Nursery and Reception
  • Providing small‑group and 1:1 support in Early KS1
  • Assisting with phonics, early literacy and early maths
  • Creating a warm, engaging and inclusive learning environment
  • Supporting children with additional needs where required
  • Working closely with the class teacher to deliver high‑quality provision
  • Helping with observations, assessments and classroom preparation

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant / Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience in Nursery, EYFS or Early KS1
  • Strong understanding of early child development and play‑based learning
  • A nurturing, patient and positive approach
  • Confidence supporting children with SEN
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
