Zest Education is currently recruiting a Lunchtime Supervisor to join a warm and welcoming primary school in Handsworth. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to help create a safe, happy, and inclusive lunchtime environment.
Supervise pupils during lunchtime in the dining hall, playground, and other areas
Encourage good manners, positive play, and respectful behaviour
Support children while eating, ensuring a calm and friendly atmosphere
Help manage playground activities and promote inclusive play
Deal calmly with minor issues or accidents, following school behaviour and safeguarding policies
Assist with setting up and tidying away tables, chairs, and dining equipment
Work as part of the lunchtime team to ensure all pupils are safe and well cared for
✅ Experience working with children (school, childcare, or play environment preferred)
✅ Friendly, patient, and confident supervising groups of pupils
✅ Reliable, punctual, and able to follow school procedures
✅ Understanding of safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
✅ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
