Zest Education is currently recruiting a Lunchtime Supervisor to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Derby. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to help create a safe, happy, and enjoyable lunchtime experience.
Supervise pupils during lunchtimes in the dining hall, playground, and other areas
Encourage good manners, positive play, and inclusion among pupils
Support children while eating and promote a calm, respectful dining environment
Deal calmly with any minor behaviour issues or accidents, following school policy
Organise and participate in play activities to promote engagement and wellbeing
Assist with setting up and clearing away tables and dining equipment
Ensure the safety and welfare of all pupils at all times
✅ Experience working with children (school or childcare setting preferred)
✅ Friendly, patient, and confident supervising groups of pupils
✅ Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions and procedures
✅ Understanding of safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
✅ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
